Re-reading the parameters in fixed this per the wiki. Once I managed to fix the filter problem there seemed to be no stars in the image. Further examination revealed that the stars colors were actually inverted (stars were black instead of white). I tried restarting the gcamera and gcam but still I am getting inverted images. (see image g0001 thru 0008). Using the mouse pointer the values of the stars are actually smaller than the background, ie. pixel values are actually inverted. There was nothing in the wiki regarding this problem. We also cannot use the NA2 guider to guide with the stars values this way. 30 minutes later the problem seemed to solved itself and images looked normal again. Russet suggested it might have been dust motes that I was seeing since there were no stars in the field. That is possible. I could still see the black "star" images along with out of focus star images (at a new field). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:27 dcamera 603( 613) 174 70 4.3 6.1 6.2 6.0 4.6 -- 1.00 20:13 dcamera 630( 556) 319 48 4.1 4.3 4.7 4.1 4.1 -- 1.33 00:14 dcamera 635( 496) 41 60 3.9 3.2 3.8 3.0 3.4 -- 1.43 05:28 APOLLO 700( 1444) 80 31 2.9 2.4 3.4 3.0 2.9 -- 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 43 7 12 269 (W) 134 mstly cldy none 17:00 41 9 6 246 (WSW) 199 ptly cldy none 18:00 39 11 8 260 (W) 234 ptly cldy none 19:00 40 10 11 254 (WSW) 266 ptly cldy none 20:00 40 9 12 243 (WSW) 255 ptly cldy none 21:00 39 6 13 259 (W) 216 ptly cldy none 22:00 40 6 12 247 (WSW) 196 ptly cldy none 23:00 39 6 14 214 (SW) 178 clear none 00:00 38 9 10 232 (SW) 186 clear none 01:00 40 16 12 275 (W) 161 clear none 02:00 40 20 18 299 (WNW) 86 clear none 03:00 39 20 19 295 (WNW) 90 clear none 04:00 38 17 18 315 (NW) 141 clear none 05:00 38 19 12 336 (NNW) 94 clear none 06:00 36 20 19 330 (NNW) 55 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
