All the quads were over 20K counts and each quad was different by thousands. An arctic init was executed and, while the UL quad did drop out, the rest began responding normally. We focused the ecam guider and took a new slit mask and updated the instrument block. Things were windy all night and we never opened. It started snowing around 7pm and continued for about 3 hours, dropping several inches of snow. I ran the snow program until the winds became too high (>40 mph). There was a power went out around 00:45 and was out for a few seconds. The generator came on but we were never on generator power and it shut itself off. The telescope is pointed south and it's supposed to be sunny all day tomorrow so maybe enough snow will melt to allow us to open... ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 34 16 36 209 (SSW) 5867 cloudy dust 17:00 34 18 32 211 (SSW) 7015 cloudy dust 18:00 26 25 16 269 (W) cloudy fog 19:00 23 23 16 290 (WNW) cloudy snow 20:00 21 20 24 276 (W) cloudy snow 21:00 19 18 24 249 (WSW) cloudy snow 22:00 18 17 26 248 (WSW) cloudy fog 23:00 16 14 27 271 (W) cloudy fog 00:00 14 13 21 256 (WSW) cloudy fog 01:00 14 12 32 270 (W) cloudy fog 02:00 13 11 24 254 (WSW) cloudy fog 03:00 13 11 20 281 (W) cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
