We found problems with the image readouts getting shifted part way through the readout. about 5-10% of the time this was occuring. Bill should switch back to the old ecamera until we can get the readout issues resolved with the new one. Jon will also need to re-install the old software after the swap, Russet wasn't sure if she had all the instructions to do so. DIS focus vs spectra (seeing was too poor) I took DIS spectra of John Bally's object as well as cals for him. Poor seeing conditions and random clouds prevented us from finishing the DIS slitviewer vs. spectra and ARCTIC throughput, as well as a collimation check. by 04:20 the sky was clouding up on us again. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:05 dcamera 615( 197) 28 73 -3.3 -2.2 -2.3 -2.5 -3.2 -- 1.37 02:50 dcamera 688( 203) 157 74 -4.5 -3.5 -3.1 -3.6 -4.5 -- 1.86 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 5 17 236 (SW) 995 cloudy none 17:00 32 8 20 215 (SW) 725 cloudy none 18:00 31 10 20 224 (SW) 724 cloudy none 19:00 31 7 19 222 (SW) 792 cloudy none 20:00 30 3 10 246 (WSW) 2766 cloudy none 21:00 29 3 9 234 (SW) 1546 cloudy none 22:00 28 3 11 241 (WSW) 1342 cloudy none 23:00 29 2 15 223 (SW) 1349 cloudy none 00:00 28 5 11 214 (SW) 915 cloudy none 01:00 27 5 14 241 (WSW) 696 ptly cldy none 02:00 26 6 13 213 (SSW) 664 mstly clr none 03:00 26 11 14 231 (SW) 508 mstly clr none 04:00 26 10 14 234 (SW) 523 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
