No sunlight to melt any of it and some very cold outside temps. I ran the snow program all night since the winds were high at the start of the night. The winds died down during the first half, temps dropped and the humidity finally started to drop at the very end of the night, but with the really cold weather and not so windy condition there was probably still an inch or more of snow on the enclosure to prevent opening. Snow program was ran all night long and I parked the enclosure facing due south so the sun can do it's job during the daytime. I noticed that the optidew Humidity seems to be calculated wrong (or I don't understand how it is calculated. The Outside temp and Outside dewpoint were almost identical and the calculated humidity was only reading around 86% or so. There also seemed to be some discrepency tonight between the Optidew outside DP and the old DP readings (around 2.5C or so). The Optidew reading was closer to the SDSS readings for DP (althouth there was still some discrepency there, but that may be more real). All the DP values were changing so nothing seemed to be stuck. The outside temps matched much better between the 3 readings. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 17 17 27 266 (W) cloudy humid 17:00 15 14 31 256 (WSW) mstly cldy humid 18:00 14 11 26 253 (WSW) mstly cldy humid 19:00 12 9 24 267 (W) mstly cldy humid 20:00 12 10 25 282 (WNW) cloudy humid 21:00 12 10 24 266 (W) cloudy humid 22:00 11 8 25 281 (W) mstly cldy humid 23:00 10 8 21 269 (W) clear humid 00:00 10 6 24 293 (WNW) clear humid 01:00 9 6 12 266 (W) clear humid 02:00 9 5 19 261 (W) clear humid 03:00 8 3 20 269 (W) clear humid 04:00 8 5 16 271 (W) clear humid 05:00 8 3 12 279 (W) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
