If you forgot, it's probably still early enough to pretend like you remembered. The sky forgot. The sky presented not the face of love but it's cold, cloudy, windy backside. We were left to despair in it's neglect. Perhaps we will be presented with apologies-on-a-stick during the day? I doubt it. The NM03 class delt with it as best they could...by enjoying Happiness-in-a-Box (i.e. Cloudcroft pie) and being forced to calculated non-sideral tracking rates. Wind speeds peaked around 35 mph. We were cloudy all night but things became a little less cloudy around 5 am and we opened. Seeing was moderate but we at least got some data! And it allowed our our two NMSU students (Kelly Anderson and Matt Varakian) to become fully trained! DIS red looked good all night. While we experienced no generator problem there was a power flicker which required the mirror covers to be opened manually. ======== As a Valentine's Day present, here is a song from someone who truly loves you: your obs spec! Because every night, you guys make my day great. 1u per 0.1 cubic feet. TELESCOPE STATUS Telescope drives operational. Current TCC version: 1.2.4 Current TUI version: 2.6.0
