Thicker clouds arrived by 20:45, and most of the rest of the night was spent battling clouds. MaximDL on ARCSAT hung around 00:15 and required a software restart, but not a full reboot. The same occurred around 00:50 and 01:15. Due to nearby precipitation on the radar and increasing cloud cover, we closed up around 02:40. We did not reopen, and the observer gave up around 05:00. No other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:28 ecamera 362( -496) -6 73 5.0 6.3 6.4 5.8 5.2 ND2 0.66 19:09 ecamera 401( -506) -5 75 5.4 5.3 5.8 5.2 5.2 Clear 0.75 00:03 ecamera 425( -518) 60 43 4.1 4.1 4.7 4.1 4.2 Clear 1.24 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 44 32 11 305 (NW) 277 clear none 17:00 41 32 12 313 (NW) 233 clear none 18:00 42 25 15 301 (WNW) 195 mstly clr none 19:00 42 22 16 308 (NW) 150 mstly clr none 20:00 40 32 12 302 (WNW) 255 ptly cldy none 21:00 41 33 16 266 (W) 284 mstly cldy none 22:00 41 30 15 269 (W) 264 ptly cldy none 23:00 41 32 17 265 (W) 363 ptly cldy none 00:00 39 33 16 265 (W) 313 mstly cldy none 01:00 40 33 18 264 (W) 261 mstly cldy none 02:00 40 33 17 282 (WNW) 226 mstly cldy none 03:00 40 33 21 288 (WNW) 209 cloudy lt rain 04:00 40 33 18 281 (W) 248 cloudy lt rain 05:00 39 33 14 296 (WNW) 242 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
