Unfortunately I didn't notice (since we only do biases) and since the temp had warmed up at the start of 2nd half to around -4C I forgot to take a look. The observer noticed vertical streaks on her bright stars let me to an open shutter. Resetting the shutter control box on ARCTIC quickly fixed the issue. I recommended re-taking her darks (and anything that would be affected with a stuck open shutter). No other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:28 APOLLO 200( 413) -38 29 -10.9 -8.8 -8.4 -9.1 -10.1 -- 2.00 18:21 dcamera 398( -280) -96 52 -9.5 -9.7 -9.2 -9.9 -9.9 -- 2.50 00:26 arctic 533( 127) -25 55 -5.8 -7.7 -7.1 -7.1 -6.2 sdss_r 1.60 00:30 NA2gdr -1986(35013) -27 54 -5.3 -7.4 -7.0 -6.9 -5.7 R 2.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 13 5 13 335 (NNW) 147 clear none 17:00 13 3 12 336 (NNW) 135 clear none 18:00 13 -1 21 350 (N) 251 clear none 19:00 15 -5 16 21 (NNE) 187 clear none 20:00 15 -4 15 2 (N) 508 clear none 21:00 16 -5 16 17 (NNE) 182 clear none 22:00 19 -9 18 352 (N) 149 clear none 23:00 19 -11 13 8 (N) 144 clear none 00:00 20 -15 11 4 (N) 117 clear none 01:00 24 -17 16 357 (N) 127 mstly clr none 02:00 26 -18 22 339 (NNW) 117 mstly clr none 03:00 28 -20 16 350 (N) 63 mstly clr none 04:00 27 -20 12 349 (N) 60 mstly clr none 05:00 29 -2 19 348 (NNW) 41 mstly clr none 06:00 29 5 17 1 (N) 184 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
