None of this came as a surprise. But continues to surprise me is the LACK OF SNOW!! WHY?! If we are going to be so weathered out just give us snow to build snow animals! No snow. Lots of freezing fog all night and little bit of rain at the beginning of the night. Winds peaked around 40mph in A half but were below 30 in B half (except for right now, it just hit 30mph) We were on generator power for a few hours in the morning and then went back on utility. There were strong power flickers at 22:30 but we stayed on utility. However, it was too much at 00:30 and we went on generator. The recording from the co-op says we could potentially be without power until Sunday… There are lots of downed trees and the wind is too high for the workers to go out and work safely. I had to restart the dome motor controllers twice, once at check out due to the afternoon power issues, and once during dawn fills after we went on generator. As a note, the mirror is totally fine. Rain never actually fell on the mirror two days ago, it was just fogged over. Everything is good. *Face palm* No zombies tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 30 26 272 (W) cloudy rain 17:00 29 29 19 248 (WSW) cloudy rain 18:00 29 30 26 255 (WSW) cloudy fog 19:00 29 29 25 250 (WSW) cloudy fog 20:00 28 28 20 227 (SW) cloudy fog 21:00 29 29 19 270 (W) cloudy fog 22:00 28 28 20 260 (W) cloudy fog 23:00 27 27 23 265 (W) cloudy fog 00:00 28 28 24 256 (WSW) cloudy fog 01:00 27 26 16 273 (W) cloudy fog 02:00 26 25 17 264 (W) cloudy fog 03:00 26 25 21 273 (W) cloudy fog 04:00 24 23 13 290 (WNW) cloudy fog 05:00 23 22 12 273 (W) cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
