We did indoor tasks. Fog and humidity blew out around 03:00...or so we thought. We opened at 03:20 and tried to do throughputs but the fog resturned very suddenly around 04:00. We closed, and decided to stay closed due to the instability, ignoring the siren calls of sporadically dry air. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:33 arctic 497( 475) 15 54 -0.4 0.6 1.7 0.6 0.8 SDSS_r 2.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 40 33 1 217 (SW) 723 cloudy lt rain 17:00 39 32 1 238 (WSW) 562 cloudy humid 18:00 29 24 10 81 (E) cloudy humid 19:00 26 24 6 90 (E) cloudy lt rain 20:00 24 21 14 71 (ENE) cloudy humid 21:00 23 22 13 64 (ENE) cloudy fog 22:00 29 28 8 18 (NNE) cloudy fog 23:00 30 31 2 257 (WSW) cloudy fog 00:00 29 30 1 235 (SW) cloudy fog 01:00 32 32 12 46 (NE) cloudy fog 02:00 32 27 7 70 (ENE) cloudy none 03:00 40 21 2 80 (E) 363 cloudy none 04:00 29 27 5 88 (E) 1821 cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
