After multiple unsuccessful attempts to try and contact both the PI and the observer, we took the time to do engineering. Lots of engineering tasks performed tonight with the observer no show. We tried several different people to contact them but to no avail. Detailed engineering logs sent separately to respective staff. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:16 dcamera 428( 750) 93 59 10.0 11.7 12.0 11.3 10.2 -- 1.50 20:25 dcamera 540( 786) 82 73 10.0 10.2 10.8 10.1 10.0 -- 1.16 21:08 dcamera 480( 709) 40 70 10.0 9.9 10.4 9.7 9.8 -- 1.14 21:55 shack 400( 1350) 5 74 10.0 9.7 10.3 9.7 9.9 -- 0.90 23:49 APOLLO 400( 1477) 94 26 10.0 9.6 10.1 9.6 9.7 -- 1.70 02:15 arctic 460( 855) 3 63 10.0 9.5 10.0 9.4 9.5 SDSS_r 0.87 02:19 arctic 465( 859) 0 63 10.0 9.5 9.9 9.4 9.5 SDSS_g 0.93 02:59 NA2gdr 1001(39001) 63 51 10.0 9.1 9.7 9.1 9.1 clear 0.99 02:59 guider 464( 850) 63 51 10.0 9.1 9.7 9.1 9.1 clear 0.99 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 27 280 (W) clear none 17:00 22 268 (W) clear none 18:00 26 253 (WSW) clear none 19:00 21 258 (WSW) clear none 20:00 26 257 (WSW) clear none 21:00 21 248 (WSW) clear none 22:00 21 256 (WSW) clear none 23:00 21 268 (W) clear none 00:00 21 258 (WSW) clear none 01:00 19 271 (W) clear none 02:00 24 257 (WSW) clear none 03:00 20 268 (W) clear none 04:00 16 267 (W) clear none 05:00 14 264 (W) clear none 06:00 15 260 (W) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
