Seeing was good, although not always very stable. Toward morning twilight, small-particle dust counts increased and we could smell some smoke, but nothing was visible. The larger particle counts also increased but not as much, so hopefully that means the fire is fairly distant. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:19 ecamera 430( -615) -123 57 2.9 2.2 3.1 2.6 2.7 Clear 0.89 22:25 tcamera 584( 755) 17 73 5.4 3.8 4.2 3.8 4.9 Ks 1.28 01:23 arctic 469( 678) -22 53 6.4 5.4 5.8 5.4 6.2 VR 0.98 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 38 19 6 254 (WSW) 367 clear none 17:00 37 19 5 250 (WSW) 424 clear none 18:00 36 18 0 274 (W) 428 clear none 19:00 37 17 11 35 (NE) 400 clear none 20:00 38 9 8 4 (N) 261 clear none 21:00 37 9 10 357 (N) 222 clear none 22:00 43 -1 15 20 (NNE) 117 clear none 23:00 43 -7 21 20 (NNE) 103 clear none 00:00 43 -7 18 26 (NNE) 78 clear none 01:00 44 -5 17 29 (NNE) 147 clear none 02:00 45 -4 16 20 (NNE) 100 clear none 03:00 45 3 18 32 (NNE) 169 clear none 04:00 42 4 14 28 (NNE) 184 clear none 05:00 42 4 15 17 (NNE) 341 clear none 06:00 43 5 10 24 (NNE) 998 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
