At roughly 23:05 we opened for 10-15 minutes to get some quick training in on slewing and rotating (plus finding out that we couldn't even see a 1.14mag star) before having to close again due to the threat of virga. Opened for the second half around 2 AM, with clouds clearing for long enough to get some data. Humidity began rising fairly quickly and was at 75% by 3 AM. It stayed high for the rest of the night, but was never bad enough to close. Clouds started rolling in again around 5:45 AM, and we closed around 6 AM. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:56 dcamera 625( 583) -132 60 4.3 5.0 5.4 5.1 4.5 -- 1.26 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 4 5 187 (S) 22 cloudy none 17:00 45 6 11 196 (SSW) 9 cloudy none 18:00 44 4 5 185 (S) 9 cloudy none 19:00 44 2 9 182 (S) 12 cloudy none 20:00 44 0 13 181 (S) 14 cloudy none 21:00 44 2 7 179 (S) 18 cloudy none 22:00 43 -1 14 150 (SSE) 22 cloudy none 23:00 43 8 10 150 (SSE) 71 mstly cldy none 00:00 42 20 9 162 (SSE) 164 mstly cldy none 01:00 41 24 8 183 (S) 128 mstly cldy none 02:00 40 27 11 162 (SSE) 81 mstly cldy none 03:00 39 30 16 166 (SSE) 163 ptly cldy humid 04:00 39 29 18 153 (SSE) 94 mstly clr humid 05:00 38 32 17 144 (SE) ptly cldy humid 06:00 38 32 22 134 (SE) mstly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
