It got too cloudy around midnight change over so I opted to close (first mirror covers, then building so my observer could do DIS cals). The sky started to look like it was clearing around 04:50 and around 05:15 I felt it was safe enough (and clear long enough) to try to open. By 05:35 it was completely cloud covered again, just after I had opened!!! Arghhh. We closed back up and gave up. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:11 arctic 863( 828) 140 59 1.6 2.2 2.6 2.3 1.6 sdss_i 0.77 18:12 NA2gdr 3579(37579) 140 59 1.7 2.2 2.6 2.3 1.6 Clear 0.95 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 36 17 13 325 (NW) 323 mstly clr none 17:00 35 18 10 321 (NW) 323 ptly cldy none 18:00 35 17 16 308 (NW) 292 ptly cldy none 19:00 35 18 13 280 (W) 445 mstly clr none 20:00 35 18 14 270 (W) 399 ptly cldy none 21:00 35 19 11 258 (WSW) 657 ptly cldy none 22:00 36 19 11 264 (W) 543 mstly cldy none 23:00 36 20 12 269 (W) 346 mstly cldy none 00:00 35 20 11 261 (W) 356 cloudy none 01:00 35 20 13 263 (W) 335 cloudy none 02:00 35 20 14 265 (W) 315 cloudy none 03:00 35 21 13 262 (W) 348 mstly cldy none 04:00 35 20 11 262 (W) 311 cloudy none 05:00 35 20 12 276 (W) 273 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
