Clouds and possible precipitation kept us closed until around 21:30 tonight. I saw an example of a bad slitviewer shutter with the echelle slitviewer (see images 6 and 7). We saw more examples of this in later images as well (10-12). We closed at 01:07 due to increasing clouds, not that we hadn't been fighting them for a while at this point, but now we had radar returns in the NW part of the county. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:41 ecamera 684( -456) 220 36 -0.3 -0.2 0.5 -0.2 -0.3 clear 1.10 00:14 dcamera 736( 423) 123 66 -0.1 -0.2 0.3 -0.1 -0.2 -- 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 13 11 278 (W) 462 cloudy none 17:00 31 13 10 285 (WNW) 510 cloudy none 18:00 31 14 12 296 (WNW) 586 cloudy none 19:00 31 15 9 295 (WNW) 558 cloudy none 20:00 31 15 8 4 (N) 535 mstly cldy none 21:00 32 15 7 285 (WNW) 501 ptly cldy none 22:00 31 15 3 313 (NW) 572 ptly cldy none 23:00 32 15 9 346 (NNW) 390 mstly cldy none 00:00 32 15 3 349 (N) 226 mstly cldy none 01:00 32 14 3 315 (NW) 249 cloudy none 02:00 32 12 9 356 (N) 230 cloudy none 03:00 32 10 3 291 (WNW) 190 cloudy none 04:00 32 12 18 2 (N) 219 cloudy none 05:00 32 14 17 312 (NW) 231 cloudy none 06:00 32 14 7 305 (NW) 242 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
