The rotator did not move (was left as buffer empty). I did a rotator init and executed a rotation and everything was good. Bill had me close the valve of DIS blue camera after the temperature dropped to 180K. Everything looks good. No issues with the echelle tonight; the temperature at dawn was about -6 and the shutter worked fine. ------- Happy Burns Night, everyone! Lift for glasses and toast the haggis! ..I opted for a shorter poem than the haggis toast. The Banks o’ Doon Ye banks and braes o’ bonie Doon, How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair? How can ye chant, ye little birds, And I sae weary fu’ o’ care! Thou’ll break my heart, thou warbling bird, That wantons thro’ the flowering thorn: Thou minds me o’ departed joys, Departed never to return. Aft hae I rov’d by Bonie Doon, To see the rose and woodbine twine: And ilka bird sang o’ its Luve, And fondly sae did I o’ mine; Wi’ lightsome heart I pu’d a rose, Fu’ sweet upon its thorny tree! And may fause Luver staw my rose, But ah! he left the thorn wi’ me. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:29 tcamera 878( 582) 102 47 -3.4 -4.0 -3.4 -4.0 -3.9 Ks 0.99 02:21 tcamera 863( 535) 22 50 -4.7 -4.7 -4.0 -4.8 -4.7 Ks 1.08 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 28 8 7 9 (N) 126 clear none 17:00 27 8 6 318 (NW) 93 clear none 18:00 25 9 3 357 (N) 122 clear none 19:00 25 8 13 10 (N) 80 clear none 20:00 25 6 2 350 (N) 48 clear none 21:00 26 -2 5 354 (N) 99 clear none 22:00 25 2 9 350 (N) 79 clear none 23:00 27 1 6 353 (N) 78 clear none 00:00 26 3 9 343 (NNW) 104 clear none 01:00 26 6 13 345 (NNW) 78 clear none 02:00 24 9 9 354 (N) 82 clear none 03:00 23 9 12 321 (NW) 71 clear none 04:00 24 8 15 293 (WNW) 56 clear none 05:00 24 6 13 290 (WNW) 69 clear none 06:00 22 7 16 294 (WNW) 428 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
