There was essentially no snow accumulation. While things started to clear around 19:00, the humidity stayed high all night and we were never able to open. As such, we were only able to do the following engineering tasks: -restart Hub and TCC -Restart axis controllers -Test agile rotator (it's good) -Test arctic shutter in the cold (below -7C) and everything looked good Bill asked me to restart DIS red power supply and cryotiger, but the temperatures did not drop sufficiently enough to do any further requested work. The first echelle IOL did not have any issues but at the end of the night the red exposures were bad. The first one was saturated and bled upward across the chip while the second one bled downwards...?? Perhaps the shutter is not closing?? I tried taking a few exposures by hand but they all showed the same behavior and, therefore, there is no end of night IOL. The drift is driving sairly;
Sae loud and shrill’s I hear the blast,
I’m sure it’s winter fairly. Up in the morning’s no for me,
Up in the morning early;
When a’ the hills are cover’d wi’ snaw,
I’m sure its winter fairly. The birds sit chittering in the thorn,
A’ day they fare but sparely;
And lang’s the night frae e’en to morn,
I’m sure it’s winter fairly. Up in the morning’s no for me,
Up in the morning early;
When a’ the hills are cover’d wi’ snaw,
I’m sure its winter fairly. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 20 16 11 336 (NNW) cloudy lt snow 17:00 20 16 6 334 (NNW) cloudy lt snow 18:00 18 14 15 53 (NE) cloudy humid 19:00 16 13 15 74 (ENE) ptly cldy humid 20:00 16 11 6 81 (E) ptly cldy humid 21:00 18 14 8 289 (WNW) clear humid 22:00 18 13 10 297 (WNW) clear humid 23:00 17 14 11 305 (NW) clear humid 00:00 16 13 10 309 (NW) clear humid 01:00 16 15 14 317 (NW) clear humid 02:00 15 12 12 330 (NNW) clear humid 03:00 15 12 17 329 (NNW) clear humid 04:00 15 11 10 322 (NW) clear humid 05:00 14 11 23 359 (N) clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
