We were under freezing fog and light snow for the better half of the night. However, the humidity dropped suddenly around 3:30am. I checked the roof and found there was almost no snow and I could not see any ice either on either the roof or the lightning arresters and I opened. I was able to stay open for about 3 hours and then the wind picked up and we had to close. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:43 ecamera 703( -771) 42 25 -7.1 -6.9 -5.6 -7.0 -7.0 ND2 1.74 05:51 ecamera 696( -830) 50 24 -7.4 -8.0 -7.2 -7.9 -7.6 ND5 2.07 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 23 15 7 261 (W) 258 mstly clr none 17:00 21 15 11 21 (NNE) ptly cldy humid 18:00 21 16 6 23 (NNE) ptly cldy humid 19:00 20 18 14 359 (N) cloudy lt snow 20:00 20 18 2 338 (NNW) cloudy lt snow 21:00 20 19 14 21 (NNE) cloudy lt snow 22:00 20 19 8 360 (N) cloudy lt snow 23:00 19 17 22 22 (NNE) cloudy fog 00:00 19 16 19 24 (NNE) cloudy fog 01:00 19 15 17 38 (NE) clear humid 02:00 19 16 18 29 (NNE) clear humid 03:00 19 16 21 29 (NNE) clear none 04:00 18 8 21 23 (NNE) clear none 05:00 18 11 18 2 (N) clear none 06:00 19 2 21 5 (N) 80 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
