With no rain on the radar, we were able to open right away. Apollo had some laser problems, so time was ceeded to GS01. Seeing was good, but declined around midnight. The clouds became very thick around them as well. They did not start to thin out until 04:00. Even then observing was a challenge, though it grew clear by dawn. We were open all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:27 APOLLO 750( 1560) 63 72 1.4 4.2 3.4 4.3 2.4 530 1.20 17:54 ecamera 670( -309) 8 63 1.4 3.4 3.0 3.2 1.9 ND3 1.22 19:57 ecamera 683( -406) -66 69 1.7 1.3 1.8 1.4 1.5 ND2 0.79 23:53 ecamera 697( -362) 154 48 2.6 1.6 2.4 2.1 2.4 clear 1.41 02:29 NICFPS 786( 1077) 265 57 2.0 1.7 2.5 2.2 2.1 MK-Ks 0.94 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 38 14 6 248 (WSW) 69 ptly cldy none 17:00 35 12 7 223 (SW) 78 ptly cldy none 18:00 34 7 5 195 (SSW) 59 ptly cldy none 19:00 34 10 5 206 (SSW) 47 ptly cldy none 20:00 35 3 5 263 (W) 46 ptly cldy none 21:00 37 -4 11 272 (W) 32 ptly cldy none 22:00 37 -5 7 270 (W) 31 ptly cldy none 23:00 37 1 12 272 (W) 42 ptly cldy none 00:00 37 9 10 262 (W) 45 cloudy none 01:00 36 8 9 250 (WSW) 58 cloudy none 02:00 37 14 11 254 (WSW) 93 cloudy none 03:00 36 13 12 261 (W) 93 cloudy none 04:00 34 3 12 258 (WSW) 45 mstly cldy none 05:00 34 8 14 263 (W) 48 ptly cldy none 06:00 33 9 11 266 (W) 103 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
