ARCTIC had several problems with the shutter getting stuck closed - I couldn't quite find a pattern to when the problem occurred. The first case took me a while to figure out what was happening, but the later ones were pretty quick fixes. There was also a NICFPS readout problem which just needed a quick init to fix it. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW08 R I/H 19:43 20:08 ARCTIC shutter stuck, twice UW08 R I/H 22:20 22:26 ARCTIC shutter stuck UW03 N I/S 04:39 04:43 NICFPS needed init ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:37 arctic 818( 1353) 35 47 12.8 13.2 13.9 13.2 12.9 r 1.37 01:44 NICFPS 743( 1575) -22 36 12.3 12.1 12.5 11.9 12.6 J 1.11 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 68 37 13 240 (WSW) clear none 17:00 68 38 11 265 (W) clear none 18:00 63 34 4 240 (WSW) clear none 19:00 59 34 3 226 (SW) clear none 20:00 58 33 5 240 (WSW) clear none 21:00 57 36 16 148 (SSE) clear none 22:00 57 39 17 154 (SSE) clear none 23:00 55 43 18 146 (SE) clear none 00:00 55 41 18 156 (SSE) clear none 01:00 54 43 17 155 (SSE) clear none 02:00 54 42 11 176 (S) clear none 03:00 55 40 14 172 (S) clear none 04:00 55 39 13 181 (S) clear none 05:00 53 41 8 182 (S) clear none 06:00 53 41 10 180 (S) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
