However, there was a strong oscillation alt,az, and thus the mirror at 22:55, az 127, alt 50. It went away on it's own without any kind of slewing. The evening started out with clouds and sprinkles and I could see rain one hill over and delayed in opening. But then Russet did get me to realize that, "Hey! Shut down is just 3 days away, we can risk a little more rain!" So we opened. Seeing wasn't too bad for most of the night, though the PAO had some difficulty late with +2". The clouds started coming in around 4am and it completely killed any hope of the laser. The Portable Adaptive Optics groups finished their last night and have dismantled their instrument and will be taking it downstairs once Bill has arrived. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:39 ecamera 245( 111) 17 28 17.4 19.4 19.6 19.2 18.2 clear 1.19 21:04 ecamera 285( 100) 130 47 17.4 18.7 19.1 18.5 17.6 clear 0.97 02:41 PAO -6272( 3727) 261 66 16.3 14.6 15.1 14.3 15.4 clear 1.60 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 38 6 73 (ENE) 985 ptly cldy lt rain 17:00 68 36 9 135 (SE) 907 ptly cldy lt rain 18:00 67 35 1 134 (SE) 954 ptly cldy lt rain 19:00 69 37 3 133 (SE) 1062 ptly cldy lt rain 20:00 67 36 2 128 (SE) 947 ptly cldy none 21:00 65 36 9 112 (ESE) 998 ptly cldy none 22:00 63 35 12 111 (ESE) 977 ptly cldy none 23:00 62 36 13 113 (ESE) 970 ptly cldy none 00:00 62 37 13 88 (E) 986 mstly clr none 01:00 61 38 12 112 (ESE) 1186 mstly clr none 02:00 61 37 12 113 (ESE) 1095 mstly clr none 03:00 58 41 13 92 (E) 1414 mstly clr none 04:00 61 38 13 157 (SSE) 1314 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
