Throughout the night the radar returns would ebb and encroach, but never got far enough away that we could risk an opening. At 04:11 the observer threw in the towel. We did not open at all. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 75 31 6 207 (SSW) 1102 ptly cldy none 17:00 78 35 5 257 (WSW) 852 mstly clr none 18:00 74 30 13 264 (W) 919 ptly cldy none 19:00 73 30 10 272 (W) 808 ptly cldy none 20:00 67 30 12 136 (SE) 855 mstly cldy none 21:00 64 37 12 84 (E) 1378 ptly cldy none 22:00 62 42 16 113 (ESE) 2107 ptly cldy none 23:00 61 41 22 125 (SE) 1813 ptly cldy none 00:00 60 40 27 144 (SE) 1726 ptly cldy none 01:00 59 36 20 180 (S) 979 ptly cldy none 02:00 58 37 19 156 (SSE) 1064 ptly cldy none 03:00 58 37 12 161 (SSE) 913 ptly cldy none 04:00 59 38 12 181 (S) 1097 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
