Things were sorta clear all night, if we are just considering clouds. However, we are considering that pesky, perturbing, petulant, peeving, pestering, persisting pollen! It was coming down pretty thick tonight so we closed up for a few hours. It never really died down... However, aside from that, we did have good seeing. No problems tonight. ======================= Here's a song from way back when beehiving' times: Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees And the flowers and the trees The moon up above, and the thing called POLLEN! Let me tell you 'bout the scope in the sky That pollen ain't shy And the way they could kiss On a night like this When I scratch upon my big red eyes It's very plain to see That it's time you learn about the facts in life Startin' from A to P Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees When I look into your big red eyes... Well, let me tell you 'bout ANTS!!! FLYING ANTS! GIANT, BLACK, MURDEROUS FLYING BLACK ANTS!!! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:34 NICFPS 465( 1743) 70 40 18.3 20.8 20.3 20.4 18.9 MK-H 0.81 20:53 NICFPS 360( 1514) 151 59 17.9 18.7 18.9 18.2 17.7 MK-H 1.17 02:39 ecamera 405( 115) 338 32 16.1 16.4 17.3 16.4 16.1 ND3 1.13 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 31 12 247 (WSW) 770 mstly clr none 17:00 74 30 13 284 (WNW) 1013 mstly clr none 18:00 73 30 10 260 (W) 872 mstly clr none 19:00 72 29 8 260 (W) 1047 mstly clr none 20:00 66 24 4 280 (W) 1076 mstly clr none 21:00 64 26 6 211 (SSW) 1128 mstly clr none 22:00 64 29 8 178 (S) 1046 mstly clr none 23:00 63 30 2 183 (S) 1340 mstly clr none 00:00 63 28 9 180 (S) 1134 mstly clr none 01:00 65 23 12 221 (SW) 1069 mstly clr none 02:00 64 26 9 186 (S) 1124 mstly clr none 03:00 61 31 12 187 (S) 1180 mstly clr none 04:00 61 37 15 196 (SSW) 1667 mstly clr none 05:00 61 34 7 188 (S) 1676 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
