Despite rain and hail in the afternoon, smoke from a nearby fired could be smelled. Fortunately, no glow could be seen. Skies were mostly clear by mid-evening, but seeing wasn't really good enough for the visiting instrument to work. It became almost good enough during morning twilight when the wind finally shifted from east to south. No seeing estimates available. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:15 PAO +200 22:45 PAO -150 02:30 PAO -50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 31 9 8 (N) 825 cloudy rain 17:00 58 40 29 75 (ENE) 1000 cloudy lt rain 18:00 62 32 25 40 (NE) 352 cloudy none 19:00 66 32 10 216 (SW) 438 mstly cldy none 20:00 64 32 9 175 (S) 404 ptly cldy none 21:00 66 28 11 124 (SE) 519 mstly clr none 22:00 66 32 12 93 (E) 1063 mstly clr none 23:00 65 32 13 115 (ESE) 1007 mstly clr none 00:00 64 34 15 118 (ESE) 1869 mstly clr none 01:00 64 33 18 126 (SE) 1592 mstly clr none 02:00 64 31 19 144 (SE) 1252 mstly clr none 03:00 62 41 19 141 (SE) 792 mstly clr none 04:00 62 41 19 149 (SSE) 635 mstly clr none 05:00 62 43 12 186 (S) 512 mstly clr none 06:00 61 43 13 182 (S) 481 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
