What was surprising was that turing Dataq On and Off in tron brought everything back without needed to close out of parallels. Seeing wasn't fabulous tonight, we had an easterly wind along the ground with a high westerly wind. What was fabulous was putting on the eyepiece!! Since our whole night was devoted to training new peeps, they decided they wanted some time during switch over to see the sky. The Dumbbell was basically invisible but the Snowball made us all squee! Mars was...a giant dust storm, Saturn was at a great angle to see the rings and Cassini gap (along with a couple moons), and Jupiter was staring at us with it's cyclops red eye but there were no moons visible. We had far too much fun. Oh, and I guess we looked at some stars with DIS and NICFPS and hunted for binaries. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:50 NICFPS 425( 1775) 230 72 21.2 22.7 22.2 21.9 21.0 MK-H 0.77 21:09 NICFPS 565( 1780) 31 41 18.8 19.6 20.2 19.2 18.8 MK-H 1.59 21:56 NICFPS 589( 1732) 82 40 17.3 18.2 19.0 18.0 17.5 MK-H 1.73 00:56 dcamera 420( 931) -56 61 16.4 15.9 16.6 16.0 15.9 -- 1.89 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 36 10 317 (NW) 622 clear none 17:00 79 38 13 267 (W) 536 clear none 18:00 74 34 12 260 (W) 517 clear none 19:00 74 32 5 281 (W) 412 clear none 20:00 71 27 1 317 (NW) 361 clear none 21:00 70 29 4 188 (S) 441 clear none 22:00 66 45 18 138 (SE) 794 clear none 23:00 63 46 19 131 (SE) 1063 clear none 00:00 61 45 18 136 (SE) 963 clear none 01:00 61 44 15 144 (SE) 854 clear none 02:00 62 42 12 179 (S) 763 clear none 03:00 61 41 15 177 (S) 554 clear none 04:00 63 41 16 176 (S) 441 clear none 05:00 61 43 14 203 (SSW) 510 clear none 06:00 61 43 9 170 (S) 444 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
