Seeing was decent, winds were low. Around 03:00 we smelled slight smoke, and there appeared to be very light ash on windshields. The air system was switched to defense posture just in case (louvers closed, press fans on, int door closed). We remained open nonetheless. We stayed open all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:52 dcamera 237( 1027) 56 41 18.2 21.0 21.0 21.6 18.8 - 1.40 21:57 dcamera 328( 1013) 271 57 18.7 19.2 19.7 18.9 18.6 - 1.27 01:14 ecamera 246( -36) 8 57 17.0 17.0 17.6 16.8 16.8 ND1 1.13 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 67 28 5 264 (W) 817 clear none 17:00 75 30 18 239 (WSW) 804 clear none 18:00 71 28 23 228 (SW) 870 clear none 19:00 71 26 13 291 (WNW) 823 clear none 20:00 67 22 10 265 (W) 698 clear none 21:00 66 20 11 239 (WSW) 681 clear none 22:00 65 21 13 239 (WSW) 794 clear none 23:00 64 21 10 252 (WSW) 869 clear none 00:00 64 20 14 262 (W) 805 clear none 01:00 63 18 9 264 (W) 776 clear none 02:00 62 18 7 267 (W) 708 clear none 03:00 61 17 7 356 (N) 803 clear none 04:00 62 18 8 23 (NNE) 843 clear none 05:00 62 17 15 34 (NE) 820 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
