It was fine at the end of the night. I emailed Bill so he is aware. Gmech focus offset for DIS works better at 32000 steps than 22000. Still seeing small oscillations in the az error tonight. I am also still seeing oscillations during the slews in az and errors in the +/- 40 range. While checkking focus at the program change, the alt error was sitting at -2.5 and the current at -5, this caused the start kind of wanted to drift. I slewed in Alt to fix to try to fix, but it persisted. Hopefully the guider will keep things centered. I noticed the alt current and errors were higher than normal tonight. It's Miller time! I saw 3 Miller moths in the control room tonight, UGH!!! There were a few fluttering around the dome this morning as well. :( ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:30 dcamera 467( 1251) 178 80 19.2 21.3 20.8 21.0 19.1 -- 0.90 21:02 dcamera 413( 1065) 233 70 18.1 18.8 19.1 18.4 18.0 -- 1.00 21:06 NA2gdr 213(32213) 234 69 18.3 18.7 19.1 18.4 17.9 clear 1.10 00:15 dcamera 486( 1032) 213 76 17.1 16.7 17.4 16.8 16.8 -- 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 77 32 3 247 (WSW) 704 mstly clr none 17:00 71 28 9 278 (W) 698 ptly cldy none 18:00 75 29 12 238 (WSW) 671 ptly cldy none 19:00 70 25 11 264 (W) 651 mstly clr none 20:00 64 20 5 257 (WSW) 684 clear none 21:00 66 20 9 231 (SW) 712 clear none 22:00 65 20 9 195 (SSW) 1081 clear none 23:00 64 18 13 234 (SW) 1055 clear none 00:00 63 19 7 282 (WNW) 778 clear none 01:00 63 19 12 287 (WNW) 701 clear none 02:00 63 18 12 288 (WNW) 708 clear none 03:00 62 18 11 284 (WNW) 696 mstly clr none 04:00 62 18 11 299 (WNW) 726 mstly clr none 05:00 62 18 8 317 (NW) 802 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
