Clouds and rain sprinkles kept us closed for the first part of the night, then as the clouds started to leave the humidity started to climb. We did more in dome az drive tuning while we waited for the clouds to part. Russet checked MOFF, DIS contamination, DIS spectrograph focus, DIS slitviewer focus. DIS slitviewer sensitivity testing 03:00 switched to NA2gdr for pointing model We had some issues with the gmech controller, power cycle needed. 20 Point model started at 03:53 after dealing with gmech issues (and clouds). Model not implemented since several points were bad due to clouds. Results were sent to Bill/Russet for review. New DIS masks created for 1.5, 0.9, 2.0, and 5.0 slits ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:21 dcamera 281( 614) 154 53 12.2 12.3 13.1 12.2 12.2 -- 2.20 02:49 NA2gdr 3204(33204) 97 51 10.4 10.7 11.5 10.7 10.4 B 2.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 35 18 181 (S) 1341 ptly cldy none 17:00 64 40 17 197 (SSW) 1103 mstly cldy none 18:00 63 42 16 209 (SSW) 1050 mstly cldy lt rain 19:00 57 42 12 163 (SSE) 1144 mstly cldy none 20:00 57 42 15 146 (SE) 1026 ptly cldy lt rain 21:00 57 41 6 172 (S) 1111 ptly cldy none 22:00 56 44 15 159 (SSE) 1175 mstly cldy none 23:00 52 47 21 146 (SE) mstly cldy none 00:00 52 47 19 131 (SE) ptly cldy none 01:00 53 45 20 180 (S) 1536 mstly clr none 02:00 53 44 17 165 (SSE) 1310 mstly clr none 03:00 52 45 15 150 (SSE) 1289 ptly cldy none 04:00 51 45 21 145 (SE) ptly cldy none 05:00 51 43 12 164 (SSE) 1399 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
