The dust was of course the last thing to come down, and it bounced back up a few times before settling. Then once I opened it bounced again and teased me by dropping just a little every time I was ready to close. Finally it stayed down. Seeing was not too horrible, or would not have been except that too many of the observing targets were at high airmass and/or near the wind in the west. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:16 ecamera 12( -841) 44 70 3.6 5.8 7.7 5.5 4.2 ND3 1.24 00:13 APOLLO 350( 1193) 52 23 3.3 4.1 5.3 3.7 3.4 530 2.50 01:27 NICFPS 513( 887) -43 40 3.1 3.1 4.0 3.1 3.0 J 1.21 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 8 31 239 (WSW) 6492 mstly cldy none 17:00 51 10 21 250 (WSW) 9231 mstly cldy dust 18:00 54 13 32 262 (W) 20516 mstly cldy dust 19:00 48 18 36 254 (WSW) 28706 mstly cldy dust 20:00 44 22 18 259 (W) 9879 ptly cldy dust 21:00 41 22 18 270 (W) 12190 mstly clr dust 22:00 40 18 12 293 (WNW) 9120 clear dust 23:00 39 15 18 276 (W) 5040 clear dust 00:00 38 12 21 292 (WNW) 7261 clear none 01:00 37 12 18 265 (W) 3930 clear none 02:00 37 11 20 267 (W) 2380 clear none 03:00 35 12 18 270 (W) 1761 clear none 04:00 35 13 25 270 (W) 1455 clear none 05:00 34 14 18 268 (W) 1365 clear none 06:00 33 14 14 266 (W) 1282 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
