We had to re-home the secondary mirror after the tcc restart. We lost the first two hours to clouds and dust. We had an agile rotator problem at 00:50. Rot angle was +97.6 deg when the issue occured. it failed again during the last exposure, but didn't give an error. I noticed when I went to slew to change to the echelle that the rotator position and where it was were mismatched by about 0.7 deg. It errored when I slewed. Just initializing the rotator fixed the issue. I parked it at -90 deg. I had the fans off during 1st half to keep dust inside dome down, just the press fans were left on. I turned them on during 2nd half. We closed at 01:30, due to clouds and possible precip to our west heading our way. We gave up at 05:00 due to weather. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:11 arctic 580( 912) 42 70 9.0 9.5 10.1 9.8 9.1 SDSS_r 1.00 22:51 NA2gdr 7579(37579) 240 56 8.5 8.5 9.8 8.5 8.5 BG40 1.00 00:22 Echelle 554 ( ) 162 62 8.3 8.1 9.3 8.1 8.1 clear 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 8 22 209 (SSW) 2375 mstly cldy none 17:00 52 8 27 229 (SW) 3164 cloudy none 18:00 52 7 32 221 (SW) 3087 cloudy none 19:00 52 7 29 212 (SSW) 3018 mstly cldy none 20:00 50 5 29 221 (SW) 3309 ptly cldy dust 21:00 49 4 18 235 (SW) 5259 ptly cldy dust 22:00 48 4 14 214 (SW) 4475 ptly cldy none 23:00 48 4 25 217 (SW) 4303 ptly cldy none 00:00 47 6 22 222 (SW) 3934 mstly cldy none 01:00 47 5 16 209 (SSW) 2918 mstly cldy none 02:00 47 6 15 192 (SSW) 2027 cloudy none 03:00 46 6 17 215 (SW) 2037 cloudy none 04:00 45 12 12 213 (SSW) 2286 cloudy none 05:00 44 11 10 212 (SSW) 2081 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
