Dcam was shoing a lot of noise again tonight. Seeing wasn't great, but around 21:00 it took as nosedive as winds turned from the east. It was the worst seeing I've been able to measure. Seeing improved around 02:00 but then humidity began to creep up. It straddled the limits for about 3 hours, then started dropping off shortly before twilight. We were open all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:10 dcamera 408( 671) 121 61 9.3 11.1 12.0 10.4 9.6 - 1.63 21:43 dcamera 514( 590) 141 76 6.2 7.5 8.8 7.6 6.6 - 2.57 00:58 dcamera 638( 456) 240 59 1.7 2.3 3.2 2.4 1.9 - 4.37 02:57 dcamera 577( 323) 254 69 0.4 1.0 1.8 1.0 0.6 - 2.62 05:45 ecamera 474( -632) 144 66 2.5 0.9 1.6 1.1 2.6 ND4 1.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 8 5 272 (W) 2866 mstly clr none 17:00 53 8 10 330 (NNW) 2972 mstly clr none 18:00 54 8 2 261 (W) 2736 mstly clr none 19:00 52 6 4 353 (N) 2804 mstly clr none 20:00 49 14 10 94 (E) 1992 mstly clr none 21:00 46 12 17 70 (ENE) 2492 clear none 22:00 42 23 23 76 (ENE) 2126 clear none 23:00 39 28 23 70 (ENE) 2037 clear none 00:00 37 28 23 73 (ENE) 2137 clear none 01:00 35 29 20 71 (ENE) 2081 clear none 02:00 34 28 14 89 (E) 2216 clear none 03:00 33 28 8 77 (ENE) clear none 04:00 34 27 8 80 (E) 2403 clear none 05:00 35 27 8 87 (E) clear none 06:00 37 22 4 186 (S) 2635 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
