There were some borderline winds around midnight and seeing deteriorated a little but never got too bad. Varying noise on dcam caused some difficulty with field identification on faint targets but there were enough occasional good images that it didn't prevent observations. Second half went more smoothly, including some time for fun with eyepiece viewing for the onsite class! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:05 dcamera 720( 1084) 120 58 11.8 12.9 12.6 12.5 11.7 - 1.15 02:30 ecamera 375( -280) 131 37 9.6 9.3 10.0 9.4 9.3 ND2 1.28 03:53 tcamera 593( 952) 7 32 8.6 8.6 9.2 8.6 8.5 Ks 1.67 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 27 14 256 (WSW) 1179 ptly cldy none 17:00 59 28 11 257 (WSW) 1115 ptly cldy none 18:00 61 28 22 211 (SSW) 1089 ptly cldy none 19:00 56 28 21 223 (SW) 1039 ptly cldy none 20:00 53 28 20 215 (SW) 1035 ptly cldy none 21:00 53 30 24 236 (SW) 1354 mstly clr none 22:00 52 31 23 240 (WSW) 1324 mstly clr none 23:00 52 32 19 253 (WSW) 1344 clear none 00:00 51 33 16 266 (W) 1847 clear none 01:00 51 33 23 272 (W) 2043 clear none 02:00 49 32 16 261 (W) 1542 clear none 03:00 49 32 21 284 (WNW) 1633 clear none 04:00 47 32 25 294 (WNW) 1477 clear none 05:00 47 32 16 276 (W) 1194 clear none 06:00 46 31 14 267 (W) 1216 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
