And it went from suck to blow after sunset. Things were too pushy in the west so NM05 couldn't do their desired targets. They settled for some mediocre ones before donating nearly an hour of their time to JH06 (thanks Drew!). Thankfully, JH06's quasar was to the East and we were able to observe it for the entire time. Even more amazing was the fact that the clouds cleared up and we could see the 20th mag little galaxy thing! Things were a bit bumpy for the moon observations, but Russet managed to shoot it regardless. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:11 ecamera 509( -106) -1 31 9.2 10.0 10.4 9.9 9.2 ND2 1.41 20:44 ecamera 437( -264) -90 44 8.5 8.5 9.2 8.6 8.6 ND1 1.58 23:23 tcamera 634( 908) 143 74 7.7 7.5 8.1 7.6 7.6 -- 1.07 04:50 APOLLO 350( 1191) -43 37 4.4 4.3 5.1 4.4 4.3 530 2.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 7 28 262 (W) 879 ptly cldy none 17:00 53 7 21 259 (W) 820 ptly cldy none 18:00 53 8 30 247 (WSW) 1107 ptly cldy none 19:00 51 6 24 262 (W) 753 mstly cldy none 20:00 49 5 21 260 (W) 833 mstly clr none 21:00 48 4 15 268 (W) 790 clear none 22:00 47 6 24 273 (W) 1092 clear none 23:00 47 5 20 266 (W) 1071 clear none 00:00 46 7 25 266 (W) 1095 clear none 01:00 45 6 29 274 (W) 1106 clear none 02:00 43 8 23 266 (W) 1039 clear none 03:00 42 7 25 273 (W) 1331 mstly clr none 04:00 41 5 30 272 (W) 1527 mstly clr none 05:00 41 3 19 270 (W) 1319 mstly clr none 06:00 40 5 20 272 (W) 1187 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
