We started on generator power so it came as no surprise that the drives needed restarting and, during the first slew, there was a collision. But, after pushing the telescope off the collision pad everything moved smoothly. Site power returned at 22:00 which resulted in a stop, but an axis init was all that was needed and no time was lost. The nightlogFocus wasn't responding and reporting a "Failed: timed out" error. I was not able to fix the issue (honestly, I didn't know how and neither did anyone else) so I listed focus information as best as I could. The diffuser wouldn't move into the Out position so...I honestly don't know what the focus was, but Sloan reported about 1.5-2.5 during B half. This fact didn't matter for UW01 as they wanted to observe with the diffuser in so...yay! Things continued to be windy, virga, clouds, then clear, windy, but somehow not dusty! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:00 NICFPS 270 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- MK-Ks 1.48 21:40 NICFPS 568 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- MK-Ks 2.54 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 -9 44 300 (WNW) 2955 mstly cldy none 17:00 30 -8 40 297 (WNW) 2870 mstly cldy none 18:00 30 -7 28 295 (WNW) 2364 ptly cldy none 19:00 27 -2 9 296 (WNW) 1524 ptly cldy none 20:00 27 -1 13 323 (NW) 1538 ptly cldy none 21:00 26 -1 17 324 (NW) 2032 ptly cldy none 22:00 26 -2 11 4 (N) 2026 ptly cldy none 23:00 25 -1 3 297 (WNW) 1778 mstly clr none 00:00 24 1 16 11 (N) 1686 clear none 01:00 23 1 16 21 (NNE) 1724 clear none 02:00 24 2 22 27 (NNE) 1800 clear none 03:00 23 2 18 356 (N) 1530 clear none 04:00 23 2 21 359 (N) 1111 clear none 05:00 23 2 14 20 (NNE) 760 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
