We had clouds all night and Jupiter waved in an out, never really enough to get more than half a data cube. However, there was an issue with the instrument itself that was causing internal reflections and we used the time to address the issue and it was fixed! Hooray! Turns out the instrument was slightly tilted with regard to the incoming light and just needed a slight correction. We do not have a place scale for NIAC so I do not have a focus value to report so we estimated seeing off Sloan which was 1". The dome camera froze and I was unable/unaware of how to fix the problem so it's still stuck. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 13 7 333 (NNW) 740 mstly cldy none 17:00 54 13 2 236 (SW) 722 mstly cldy none 18:00 54 14 6 272 (W) 648 mstly cldy none 19:00 51 12 2 298 (WNW) 703 mstly cldy none 20:00 50 12 7 269 (W) 763 cloudy none 21:00 51 13 8 253 (WSW) 821 cloudy none 22:00 50 12 11 206 (SSW) 851 cloudy none 23:00 49 11 11 216 (SW) 933 cloudy none 00:00 49 9 10 225 (SW) 833 cloudy none 01:00 49 8 8 242 (WSW) 876 cloudy none 02:00 49 8 14 247 (WSW) 787 cloudy none 03:00 49 7 18 271 (W) 761 cloudy none 04:00 49 7 16 289 (WNW) 818 cloudy none 05:00 48 8 16 268 (W) 851 cloudy none 06:00 48 8 15 278 (W) 820 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
