Clouds got worse around 21:00 and we gave up on the sky tasks. We left the dome open for an hour longer to cool the mirror, then closed since there was no return on sky. Skies clear abruptly at 00:45, and we resumed engineering. Tasks completed: reset axis controllers, zeroed rotator, M2 homing, DIS focus change, scope collimation (no adjustment needed). We closed at 05:08 due to humidity. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:02 dcamera 377( 274) 120 50 1.3 3.7 3.9 3.5 1.5 - 1.77 01:14 dcamera 437( 83) -123 66 -1.4 -1.0 -0.5 -1.0 -1.4 - 1.43 03:14 shack 625( 754) 165 59 -2.3 -2.4 -1.8 -2.5 -2.6 - 1.20 04:24 dcamera 482( 38) 269 49 -3.4 -3.0 -2.3 -3.1 -3.4 - 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 38 18 13 235 (SW) 1246 mstly clr none 17:00 42 14 23 240 (WSW) 1433 mstly clr none 18:00 41 12 24 252 (WSW) 1548 mstly clr none 19:00 37 9 15 265 (W) 1491 mstly clr none 20:00 34 8 8 289 (WNW) 1468 ptly cldy none 21:00 34 6 12 297 (WNW) 1556 mstly cldy none 22:00 33 5 8 284 (WNW) 1556 mstly cldy none 23:00 31 4 8 265 (W) 1484 mstly cldy none 00:00 30 7 4 224 (SW) 1446 mstly cldy none 01:00 30 11 7 242 (WSW) 1519 clear none 02:00 29 13 9 231 (SW) 1421 clear none 03:00 29 13 12 217 (SW) 1435 clear none 04:00 28 13 11 223 (SW) 1496 clear none 05:00 25 22 9 212 (SSW) clear fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
