There was no collision event, just light was lit and pressing button reset it. Slews worked fine afterwards during checkout. The truss lamps would not work during checkout. I reset them according to wiki, but still refused to turn on. I called Fritz as Jon had left for a meeting earlier in CC. Fritz restarted things and things worked for him, but when I tried they still didn't work. Come to find out the web page with the video feed from the dome into the obs room was frozen. refreshing browser fixed the video and then I could see lamps turn on/off. Looks like video froze at 14:45 (7:45AM) this morning. I believe we saw the radar echos, at sunset tonight, from the bat cave down in Mexico, jus south of the border. The bats must be out and active already this spring! We found that the 'pause seq' did not seem to work in TUI with TSPEC. TUI log message below. 2018-03-23 03:10:39 APO.APO-Jack.tspecExpose 2407 tspec f errorMessage="cannot execute command: Controller is busy..." 2018-03-23 03:10:39 CmdDone: client-18 2407 tspec expose pause 2018-03-23 03:10:39 APO.APO-Jack 315 tspecExpose w exposeTxt="problem with pause" We fought lots of clouds most of the night with a patch of clearer skies around 03:20 for about 30 mins or so, then more pesky clouds. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:04 tcamera 850( 1472) 67 83 11.3 14.3 13.0 14.6 12.2 Ks 1.00 20:31 tcamera 600( 1136) 301 39 11.6 12.1 12.2 12.1 11.8 Ks 1.20 03:20 dcamera 444( 689) -106 66 11.1 10.7 11.4 10.6 10.8 -- 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 13 9 235 (SW) 89 mstly cldy none 17:00 57 15 7 246 (WSW) 121 mstly cldy none 18:00 59 17 6 248 (WSW) 222 ptly cldy none 19:00 54 18 15 223 (SW) 488 ptly cldy none 20:00 52 19 12 235 (SW) 426 mstly cldy none 21:00 53 20 8 205 (SSW) 606 mstly cldy none 22:00 53 19 11 227 (SW) 604 cloudy none 23:00 54 19 10 243 (WSW) 329 cloudy none 00:00 54 18 11 265 (W) 266 cloudy none 01:00 54 18 11 244 (WSW) 303 cloudy none 02:00 53 17 14 224 (SW) 292 cloudy none 03:00 53 17 19 219 (SW) 640 ptly cldy none 04:00 50 17 17 227 (SW) 597 ptly cldy none 05:00 50 17 14 251 (WSW) 613 ptly cldy none 06:00 50 18 16 272 (W) 324 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
