When the dust finally dropped, we were able to open but seeing was quite bad, worse than 2 arcsec. Later when the telescope had cooled down the seeing was a little better but not much. Unfortunately I only recorded one of those focus measurements. The two Wyoming observers were having some internet connectivity troubles at their end due to recent bad weather and power outages. The telescope tracked pretty poorly during a high-altitude transit, but the borderline winds probably contributed to that. Otherwise there were no significant problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:08 dcamera 550( 230) 47 69 -0.7 -0.3 0.7 -0.2 -0.4 - 1.58 04:01 dcamera 443( 57) 121 51 -0.4 -1.8 -1.2 -1.8 -1.2 -- 2.35 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 13 42 256 (WSW) 3599 mstly clr dust 17:00 47 12 45 259 (W) 3400 mstly clr dust 18:00 45 5 37 255 (WSW) 7098 mstly clr dust 19:00 42 9 19 269 (W) 6496 mstly clr dust 20:00 37 19 32 269 (W) 19435 mstly clr dust 21:00 35 14 24 276 (W) 28853 mstly clr dust 22:00 34 11 15 265 (W) 10404 clear dust 23:00 33 12 21 281 (W) 7146 clear dust 00:00 31 13 11 279 (W) 4752 clear none 01:00 31 11 20 274 (W) 1478 clear none 02:00 31 8 20 270 (W) 1063 clear none 03:00 30 11 14 281 (W) 1100 clear none 04:00 30 7 13 326 (NW) 653 clear none 05:00 31 2 15 305 (NW) 408 clear none 06:00 31 1 20 314 (NW) 408 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
