Since the time to warm ARCTIC, to recover the dropped quad, would impact their science my observers decided to just use the 3 remaining quads and re-position their fields to avoid the missing one. Gmech seems to be disconnected. I had to restart it. Looks like it may need to be homed but at least it is now working and I can change filters. Later it failed again, would not let me change filters. I am guessing it needs to be restarted again. Dust event at 21:10, re-opened at 22:50 I did a new instrument block for NAIC, before their target, Jupiter, rose. I closed the mirror covers at 02:40 as I was seeing some possible precip moving just to our south. It seemed to evaporate before it got to us, but unfortunately not the clouds. We re-opened at 03:15 ARCTIC high current/current limited triggered just as I went up to close the dome. Bill will deal with it when he comes in. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW01 A I/H 17:20 00:10 UL Quad dropped ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:17 arctic 669( 881) 145 63 4.8 7.1 6.9 7.3 5.1 SDSS_i 1.30 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 45 12 29 227 (SW) 1176 mstly clr none 17:00 43 9 23 228 (SW) 2544 mstly clr none 18:00 41 9 20 265 (W) 2983 mstly clr none 19:00 40 9 22 254 (WSW) 1647 ptly cldy none 20:00 40 11 27 269 (W) 1413 cloudy none 21:00 39 12 17 273 (W) 5884 cloudy none 22:00 36 17 7 34 (NE) 6485 ptly cldy none 23:00 37 17 9 41 (NE) 2164 clear none 00:00 31 21 14 55 (NE) 2409 mstly clr none 01:00 30 18 14 346 (NNW) 1677 ptly cldy none 02:00 32 20 6 297 (WNW) 1147 mstly cldy none 03:00 30 22 1 193 (SSW) 859 mstly clr none 04:00 32 19 8 200 (SSW) 606 clear none 05:00 29 21 5 185 (S) 828 clear none 06:00 29 21 3 185 (S) 709 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
