I added to the observing specialist checkout script a ARCTIC filter wheel home option, so the filter wheel will now be homed during our checkout proceedure. We had clouds, then high humidity, which kept us closed until around 21:00. Since they were already into their transit and using the diffuser, I just roughly focues the instrument for them. We flirted with humidity all night long, clouds got a little too thick to see any stars in the guider for about an hour around 02:00. We didn't close but effectively were being clouded out during that time. so I reported it as weather loss. We closed again at 05:10 as the clouds got too thick and the humidity finally went over the limit as well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:07 dcamera 482( 111) -9 40 -1.7 -1.7 -1.1 -1.6 -1.6 -- 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 26 14 245 (WSW) mstly cldy none 17:00 33 27 13 266 (W) ptly cldy humid 18:00 30 26 14 223 (SW) mstly clr humid 19:00 30 26 8 226 (SW) mstly clr humid 20:00 29 27 9 272 (W) 1557 mstly clr humid 21:00 30 25 13 262 (W) clear none 22:00 31 24 9 266 (W) clear none 23:00 30 24 11 256 (WSW) clear none 00:00 30 24 5 265 (W) 1026 ptly cldy none 01:00 29 24 7 267 (W) 914 ptly cldy none 02:00 29 24 6 86 (E) mstly cldy none 03:00 30 24 11 183 (S) mstly cldy none 04:00 29 24 11 214 (SW) mstly cldy none 05:00 29 24 14 205 (SSW) 987 mstly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
