I sent a PR. Due to the fact that we lost power and site air last night, Russet and I relaxed the primary mirror during checkout. The mirror actually looked good before relaxing but Russet wanted to give me some practice. I had far too much fun hanging on the truss! The tertiary mirror was not pointing at the NA2 port and we homed it. No time was lost for this because we weren’t able to open due to the weather. Things were not good weather wise, though to be honest I'm surprised we were even able to open. A half was able to observe for most of their time (and with moderately good seeing!) but B half didn't have much hope. The clouds became extremely thick near 1:30 am and we finally closed. Then the fog started rolling in around 4 am (thankfully, it was pirate free). We were never able to reopen. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:42 arctic 550( 645) -8 79 3.1 4.9 4.9 5.1 4.2 SDSS_i 1.07 00:31 dcamera 441( 270) 63 68 3.1 2.6 3.2 2.7 2.3 -- 1.19 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 1 224 (SW) 239 cloudy humid 17:00 1 198 (SSW) 150 cloudy humid 18:00 3 277 (W) 101 cloudy none 19:00 2 257 (WSW) 89 cloudy none 20:00 6 191 (S) 79 cloudy none 21:00 7 217 (SW) 101 cloudy none 22:00 7 202 (SSW) 108 cloudy none 23:00 12 221 (SW) 90 cloudy none 00:00 13 239 (WSW) 92 cloudy none 01:00 20 228 (SW) 86 cloudy none 02:00 20 258 (WSW) 70 cloudy humid 03:00 17 244 (WSW) 74 cloudy humid 04:00 15 264 (W) 90 cloudy fog 05:00 23 255 (WSW) cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
