Clouds continued to get thicker, but with no rain on the radar, we pressed on. Seeing was excellent, though. Around 21:00 clouds thinned, but did not disappear entirely. It seemed to clear out by 00:00 but seeing declined. It stayed clear and we observed the whole night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:28 ecamera 666( -295) 92 69 1.4 3.8 3.1 3.6 1.7 ND5 0.78 00:15 dcamera 605( 299) 17 80 1.2 0.1 0.6 -0.2 0.0 - 1.39 02:07 dcamera 784( 531) -138 56 3.3 0.8 1.9 1.2 2.3 - 1.35 05:23 arctic 795( 696) 20 61 3.1 1.1 1.8 1.1 2.3 sdss_r 0.91 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 35 -4 6 279 (W) 105 ptly cldy none 17:00 34 -8 7 344 (NNW) 69 ptly cldy none 18:00 35 -10 6 353 (N) 50 ptly cldy none 19:00 36 -6 1 166 (SSE) 66 ptly cldy none 20:00 35 -9 5 278 (W) 58 ptly cldy none 21:00 35 -9 4 298 (WNW) 67 mstly clr none 22:00 35 -10 5 355 (N) 80 mstly clr none 23:00 34 -10 5 357 (N) 46 mstly clr none 00:00 33 -11 6 322 (NW) 61 clear none 01:00 34 -8 8 349 (N) 46 clear none 02:00 38 -6 2 245 (WSW) 52 clear none 03:00 35 -10 2 268 (W) 48 clear none 04:00 34 -10 2 236 (SW) 51 clear none 05:00 37 -7 9 231 (SW) 28 clear none 06:00 37 -8 4 193 (SSW) 23 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
