We closed for high humidity and thicker clouds, and there was even an alarm from the precip sensor perhaps triggered by fog. But later the clouds grew thinner and the humidity dropped just a little, so I thought we could open long enough for one more high-priority target. Once the telescope cooled we closed again. The observers for the first scheduled program were delayed in arriving at the site, so I arranged a trade of a couple of hours with the second-half program so that everybody could have time to get settled in. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:43 dcamera 731( 864) 77 77 5.7 8.6 8.6 8.1 6.8 - 1.02 20:06 dcamera 615( 632) 2 52 5.9 6.1 6.6 5.9 5.9 - 1.13 03:27 dcamera 729( 508) 121 42 0.0 1.3 3.0 1.2 0.6 - 1.76 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 23 12 257 (WSW) 150 mstly clr none 17:00 46 23 18 237 (WSW) 148 mstly clr none 18:00 44 23 10 233 (SW) 166 ptly cldy none 19:00 42 21 12 239 (WSW) 147 ptly cldy none 20:00 43 21 8 256 (WSW) 158 mstly cldy none 21:00 43 20 14 225 (SW) 133 mstly cldy none 22:00 42 21 11 222 (SW) 130 mstly cldy none 23:00 34 28 2 111 (ESE) 150 mstly cldy humid 00:00 33 31 12 76 (ENE) mstly cldy humid 01:00 33 31 9 80 (E) mstly cldy humid 02:00 31 30 10 88 (E) ptly cldy humid 03:00 32 29 1 221 (SW) mstly clr humid 04:00 34 30 2 241 (WSW) mstly clr humid 05:00 31 30 3 249 (WSW) mstly clr humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
