We had an issue with echelle, where as it was warming it gave a bad image during checkout, which led to my believing it would not be usuable for shift. A subsequent image taken after sunset showed it had cooled enough and was working. We scrambled and got NM01's observer back online, with minimal time lost. Weather was clear, but seeing was a little below average. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM01 E I/H 17:17 17:35 Echelle had warmed, looked bad on checkout, but fixed itself later ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:42 ecamera 700( 40) 24 79 7.3 9.8 9.0 9.8 7.9 nd4 1.94 18:24 dcamera 679( 802) 168 81 7.1 8.4 8.3 8.0 7.3 - 1.53 00:18 dcamera 635( 728) 144 62 8.5 7.7 8.2 7.8 8.1 - 1.31 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 48 26 14 242 (WSW) 78 clear none 17:00 47 28 14 248 (WSW) 88 clear none 18:00 45 27 14 239 (WSW) 82 clear none 19:00 45 27 9 263 (W) 92 clear none 20:00 45 26 8 267 (W) 100 clear none 21:00 44 26 14 297 (WNW) 129 clear none 22:00 45 24 18 300 (WNW) 115 clear none 23:00 48 23 16 285 (WNW) 104 clear none 00:00 48 24 9 269 (W) 58 clear none 01:00 45 24 10 268 (W) 53 clear none 02:00 44 22 11 291 (WNW) 47 clear none 03:00 43 22 9 306 (NW) 20 clear none 04:00 44 22 11 315 (NW) 36 clear none 05:00 44 22 7 343 (NNW) 23 clear none 06:00 44 23 6 282 (WNW) 5 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
