I found the NA2 filters missing when I was ready to start the pointing model. Completed 100 point pointing model and implemented. Checked pointing for NA2, NA1, and TR2. Checked for drive oscillations as reported by Russet. I did not see anything major. A very small (1A P-P) osciallation around 170 Az 70 Alt. but pretty small. About the same at 230,50, again very small. Both were low frequency (around 1Hz). We had clouds in the sky so not photometric but I used the time to get an estimate of proper exposure times (~10k counts for star). I also did one star with the diffuser, and the times were considerably longer, so we probably only want to use the diffuser for much brighter stars (these stars were around 13th mag). I also took some sample data just to reduce, although not valid with non-photometric skies. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:14 ecamera 729( -126) 238 65 3.7 5.9 5.8 5.5 4.2 ND3 0.96 21:42 NA2gdr 4423(34423) 256 36 4.4 4.1 4.8 4.2 4.2 B 1.85 02:21 arctic 822( 841) 19 54 2.9 3.2 3.8 3.0 2.8 sdss_g 1.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 -5 5 266 (W) 85 clear none 17:00 39 -6 9 355 (N) 32 clear none 18:00 38 -5 5 7 (N) 43 clear none 19:00 40 -3 19 327 (NNW) 26 clear none 20:00 41 -2 17 326 (NW) 35 clear none 21:00 40 -3 9 324 (NW) 36 clear none 22:00 40 -4 8 308 (NW) 54 clear none 23:00 39 5 7 333 (NNW) 214 clear none 00:00 40 6 15 312 (NW) 186 mstly clr none 01:00 41 3 14 322 (NW) 121 mstly clr none 02:00 39 4 10 352 (N) 144 mstly clr none 03:00 38 0 12 348 (NNW) 138 mstly clr none 04:00 39 0 12 321 (NW) 133 mstly clr none 05:00 38 2 3 359 (N) 205 mstly clr none 06:00 40 2 7 350 (N) 167 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
