I think November is trying to say sorry about October. Perfectly clear skies, *NO* wind, and I mean none, at one point the gust was listed as 0.5 mph. We had subarcsec seeing basically all night, everyone got all their time, and we were able to catch all the faint targets! UW05 finished shortly after twilight and I took the opportunity to steal some Venus exposures (because science is more important than sleep when you have a worsening cold? Or maybe Venus is good for the sinuses? ...VENUS!!!) Arcsat camera didn't work at the beginning of the night but pulling out the power and USB cables and reconnecting them solved the problem. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:14 ecamera 828( -31) 241 81 4.0 5.9 5.5 5.9 4.7 ND1 0.95 18:21 ecamera 657( -256) 217 57 3.7 4.5 4.7 4.2 3.8 ND1 0.80 21:25 ecamera 662( -299) 29 51 4.0 3.6 4.2 3.6 3.9 ND1 0.77 00:16 dcamera 644( 501) -58 78 4.6 3.2 4.0 2.8 3.8 -- 1.24 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 38 15 4 288 (WNW) 283 clear none 17:00 40 14 9 56 (NE) 245 clear none 18:00 39 12 7 90 (E) 85 clear none 19:00 39 12 7 95 (E) 94 clear none 20:00 39 12 10 80 (E) 83 clear none 21:00 40 11 7 85 (E) 65 clear none 22:00 41 6 6 90 (E) 96 clear none 23:00 41 4 1 218 (SW) 82 clear none 00:00 39 2 1 193 (SSW) 74 clear none 01:00 40 4 1 202 (SSW) 75 clear none 02:00 40 5 1 125 (SE) 83 clear none 03:00 39 2 3 90 (E) 90 clear none 04:00 37 1 1 158 (SSE) 66 clear none 05:00 38 1 1 174 (S) 100 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
