The dataq needed a hard reboot during checkout. Humidity and clouds nearly all night. While we did technically open during A half, I wrote that it was weathered out. I attempted to focus on a mag 3 star and it was only occasionally above the noise. UW04 was not able to see their target at all and we gave up. The humidity dropped, though the clouds remained, during B half and we were able to open for about 1.5 hrs. However, fog came up on us fast and I underestimated it. The mirror was misted. I left the mirror covers open with the dome closed with a hope that the droplets would more easily evaporate. After about an hour everything evaporated and looked normal. :/ ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:50 ecamera 695( -272) 154 69 4.9 4.5 5.1 4.5 4.8 -- 2.07 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 48 33 12 72 (ENE) 6 mstly cldy none 17:00 44 33 20 72 (ENE) 15 mstly cldy none 18:00 41 33 22 74 (ENE) 37 ptly cldy humid 19:00 40 34 17 77 (ENE) cloudy humid 20:00 39 35 23 78 (ENE) cloudy humid 21:00 39 34 17 85 (E) mstly clr humid 22:00 38 36 17 85 (E) mstly clr humid 23:00 39 36 14 76 (ENE) ptly cldy humid 00:00 40 37 13 113 (ESE) ptly cldy humid 01:00 41 35 11 97 (E) ptly cldy humid 02:00 40 35 14 117 (ESE) ptly cldy humid 03:00 41 32 20 136 (SE) 2 cloudy fog 04:00 41 37 13 135 (SE) mstly cldy fog 05:00 40 33 14 111 (ESE) mstly cldy humid 06:00 41 33 19 133 (SE) 3 mstly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
