There were rain returns at the start of the night, but they quickly blew out and we opened at 16:26. Seeing was fair but skies were clear. Arctic behaved itself after some hiccups at the start of the night. The second observer had TUI issues, so I did service observing for his program. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:34 arctic 537( 428) 55 41 -1.6 0.5 0.7 0.7 -1.0 UW4686 1.36 01:22 dcamera 356( -3) 224 52 -1.7 -1.3 -0.6 -1.4 -1.8 - 1.20 02:48 dcamera 555( 191) 56 41 -0.2 -1.5 -1.0 -1.7 -1.0 - 1.16 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 34 8 16 34 (NE) 100 mstly cldy none 17:00 34 2 12 1 (N) 71 mstly cldy none 18:00 29 13 12 18 (NNE) 282 mstly cldy none 19:00 29 13 12 18 (NNE) 200 clear none 20:00 28 10 8 78 (ENE) 151 clear none 21:00 30 -1 9 8 (N) 83 clear none 22:00 31 -9 5 20 (NNE) 55 clear none 23:00 32 -12 10 37 (NE) 60 clear none 00:00 32 -15 4 357 (N) 60 clear none 01:00 31 -14 8 37 (NE) 63 clear none 02:00 32 -14 4 47 (NE) 56 clear none 03:00 34 -14 1 117 (ESE) 77 clear none 04:00 32 -15 2 297 (WNW) 57 clear none 05:00 31 -15 3 343 (NNW) 82 clear none 06:00 34 -12 1 191 (S) 44 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
