Many storms persisted in the area. Around 22:00 it started to clear, but radar showed several storms narrowly missing us. We were able to open for second half to partly cloudy skies. Seeing was good, but guiding was plagued by having to dodge clouds. We were guiding in manual mode, and Russet logged in and worked some magic to allow guiding sans flatfield, which made it easier to guide on the dim target. We observed until it was too bright to continue. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:00 ecamera 170( -276) -82 73 14.0 13.9 15.3 14.1 13.9 clear 1.06 03:15 ecamera 299( -164) -35 84 13.5 13.6 14.2 13.7 13.6 clear 0.89 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 40 16 72 (ENE) 786 cloudy rain 17:00 54 43 24 74 (ENE) 765 cloudy none 18:00 55 40 18 73 (ENE) 677 cloudy none 19:00 54 40 27 74 (ENE) 553 cloudy none 20:00 58 38 13 117 (ESE) 647 cloudy lt rain 21:00 59 37 19 143 (SE) 637 cloudy none 22:00 58 37 14 144 (SE) 765 mstly cldy none 23:00 58 38 12 116 (ESE) 913 ptly cldy none 00:00 57 40 15 118 (ESE) 837 ptly cldy none 01:00 57 39 20 126 (SE) 767 ptly cldy none 02:00 57 38 15 142 (SE) 693 ptly cldy none 03:00 57 37 11 146 (SE) 681 clear none 04:00 57 37 11 143 (SE) 711 mstly clr none 05:00 55 37 9 133 (SE) 770 ptly cldy none 06:00 54 37 9 169 (S) 847 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
