It only needed a small adjustment: -0.070 We tested the tertiary multiple times and found that it seems to fail most often after it's been sitting awhile, regardless of how much the telescope is slewing. Collimation was adjusted with Shack....twice. A pointing model was run but no adjustments were found to be needed. Tspec instrument block was conducted with small adjustments needed. The dataq had to be restarted around midnight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:08 arctic 805( 1219) 126 82 10.8 11.2 12.6 11.1 11.0 sdss-r 1.34 23:05 arctic 515( 859) 234 80 9.9 9.8 10.7 9.8 9.8 sdss-r 0.84 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 40 9 85 (E) clear none 17:00 60 43 16 59 (ENE) clear none 18:00 59 44 16 76 (ENE) clear none 19:00 56 45 19 71 (ENE) clear none 20:00 53 45 18 71 (ENE) clear humid 21:00 52 46 16 74 (ENE) clear humid 22:00 51 47 15 75 (ENE) clear humid 23:00 50 47 14 78 (ENE) clear humid 00:00 50 47 16 78 (ENE) clear humid 01:00 57 21 1 175 (S) clear humid 02:00 57 27 3 200 (SSW) clear humid 03:00 55 34 5 201 (SSW) clear none 04:00 54 39 1 221 (SW) clear none 05:00 54 41 2 300 (WNW) clear none 06:00 52 42 3 256 (WSW) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
