Winds died down for a while around sunset. Winds got a little high after sunset, but not enough to force a close. By 22:00 the wind was not a worry. Skies stayed mostly clear, but seeing was so-so. After midnight, seeing improved. Skies remained clear and the wind was not a problem for us. We stayed open as long as the observer needed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:38 arctic 516( 1226) 114 40 15.5 16.6 16.6 16.4 15.7 J-C V 1.64 20:59 arctic 484( 1097) 85 53 14.6 14.8 15.4 14.7 14.6 J-C R 1.42 01:23 dcamera 355( 720) -26 55 12.9 13.0 13.6 12.9 13.1 - 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 64 36 21 234 (SW) ptly cldy none 17:00 62 39 23 245 (WSW) ptly cldy none 18:00 63 38 19 262 (W) ptly cldy none 19:00 61 39 19 268 (W) ptly cldy none 20:00 59 38 23 274 (W) mstly clr none 21:00 58 38 23 279 (W) mstly clr none 22:00 58 36 23 266 (W) mstly clr none 23:00 57 37 18 270 (W) clear none 00:00 57 37 24 266 (W) clear none 01:00 56 39 20 271 (W) clear none 02:00 55 40 18 291 (WNW) clear none 03:00 54 40 19 273 (W) clear none 04:00 54 40 13 277 (W) clear none 05:00 53 39 16 294 (WNW) clear none 06:00 53 38 15 276 (W) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
